The "Shared Modules" feature allows you to share a module across many courses.

Shared Modules Key Concepts

• Changes to a shared module automatically update across all courses that share the module (this happens when the course containing the shared module is published).

• As a best practice, create one or more courses specifically for the purpose of maintaining the shared modules.

• Not all modules can be shared. See the Shared Modules section of this guide to learn more.

Let's look at a scenario where a shared module is used.

ABC Company has a standard confirmation statement and a standard survey they want included on every course. They create a course that looks like the following:

Both modules in the course have been configured as a sharable module. See the Shared Modules section to learn more.

The course itself is just like any other course you create. There isn't anything special about the course itself; it is just specifically being used to collect and manage the shared modules for the site.
